Trisha Nash is a 1995 Summa Cum Laude graduate of the American Academy McAllister Institute. She is a licensed funeral director in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. In addition to her practical work, Trisha teaches various subjects related to mortuary science at her alma mater.
After successfully passing the National Board exam and obtaining her license in Pennsylvania, Trisha gained valuable experience working in high-volume funeral homes. She provided trade embalming services for several years to smaller accounts, but most of her experience comes from her long tenure at Terry Funeral Home, Inc. in West Philadelphia.
At Terry Funeral Home, Trisha learned the intricacies of bookkeeping. After several unsuccessful attempts to find an accountant who could dedicate the necessary time to organize and maintain accurate financial records, she decided to take on this task herself. This not only saved the funeral home money but also allowed the accountants to focus on analyzing and interpreting the financial data, leading to a well-crafted tax strategy for the firm.
In addition to her bookkeeping and teaching roles, Trisha offers continuing education units to her peers in Pennsylvania and plans to expand into other states. She also provides consulting services for select funeral homes that require expert assistance, particularly with compliance issues.
